Nearly two weeks after the killing of George Floyd, protests continued in full force in Washington, DC on Saturday as thousands gathered on the newly-minted "Black Lives Matter Plaza" to fight against racism.
Protesters of all ages waved signs and chanted now-familiar slogans like "No justice, no peace" as they marched towards the White House, now shielded behind a security barrier. The protests mark the twelfth day of unrest that has included violence and looting all across the United States, though demonstrations appeared largely peaceful.
